collected a box from the post office containing ten copies of the new, smaller, £7.99 version of The Bird Room, out 19th of January, i think.

it's £2 smaller than the trade paperback.

i need to do the washing up.

my coin collection fell over.

i made signs today and put them up in places, as part of my 'Hundred Days to Make Me a Better Person' attempt. i've registered helpwithsomething@gmail.com, and set up an automatic response (email it if you would like to read the thing it sends you). also willing to take on 'online' jobs -- reading an essay and looking for grammatical errors, writing an email on your behalf, etc., etc.

i bought a new coat. feel 98% comfortable in it. pretty much a 'perfect' coat. only very mild occasional moments of 'where do my hands go, i don't want to spoil the 'line' of the coat by putting one of my hands in my pockets, what do you do, do you just let your arms dangle at your sides and sort of swing on their own?'

i am involved in THIS PROJECT WHICH IS CALLED ONE HUNDRED DAYS TO MAKE ME A BETTER PERSON. it is a project set up by Josie Long. i like Josie Long a lot. Josie Long likes Richard Yates a lot. hooray. there are lots of people doing it, including Emma Lannie and some 'famous' people. i am sort of being a 'superhero' for a hundred days, sort of. i am just walking around where i live and then going home and writing about it. in March i think i am going to be 'presenting my findings' at an event in London. i am hoping to do a kind of simultaneous talk/video thing, with graphs, etc.
