word mole 'mania'
i posted a video response to my Word Mole video:
it is a film of my hand holding my blackberry, watching the original Word Mole video.
i encourage someone to make a video response which is a film of their hand holding their blackberry/'mobile device', watching the video response.

the Word Mole video was featured on the wirelesszone.com blog, here. (accidentally causing 'the single happiest day' of someone's life.)
also, my friend mentioned it here. (note, he is also posting a 'blog novel' called A FUCKING AWFUL WEEKEND.)

i want to somehow get my video/jingle into the hands of 'Plazmic Inc.', the software team who created Word Mole. can't find any contact info for them. i sometimes daydream about getting a massive Word Mole poster from them in the post -- a big picture of the menu screen, maybe:

i could put it above my bed or something. i don't know.

here are the 'basic instructions' for Word Mole:
The object of the Word Mole™ game is to form words using the letters in the garden. If you form a word using letters that are directly above, below, or beside each other in the garden, you receive new letters which you can use to form new words. Otherwise, holes appear in the garden, making it harder to form new words. You can replace a hole with a new letter by forming a word that uses a letter that is beside the hole.
In a single-player game, you complete a level by submitting enough words to reach the required point goal before the time expires. In a practice game, you have unlimited time to play a game. In a multiplayer game, you compete against other players to win awards for achievements such as submitting the longest word, or receiving the least number of holes.
i achieved a new high score at the weekend: 7043. submitted it to the 'leaderboard'. i am ranked 5,000-and-something best Word Mole player.
trying to think of a name for Word Mole enthusiasts.
'Pepper Hunters', maybe. 'Word Diggers'. 'Letter Lifters'. i don't know.
had a look on some forums. people are scoring 50,000+.

daydreaming about one day becoming 'the Steve Wiebe of Word Mole players'.
need to complete novel draft by end of March.

fences, story, rejection digest, word mole
Ben Brooks sent me a copy of FENCES. received it this morning. good, scary sentences. my favourite so far (i am at page 30-something) is 'Big green tick over my body.'
**
Stephen O'Toole won The Beats 'write a story with a room and birds in it to win a copy of The Bird Room' competition with THIS STORY. i like Stephen's story a lot.
**
REJECTION DIGEST has posted some stories.

i bought a blackberry phone last month. feel confused and grown-up whenever i look at or use it. made a music video/jingle for one of the things on it. not sure if i have somehow 'crossed a line' in doing this:
please email (chriskillen@gmail.com) if you would like the full lyrics.
